Originally from Toronto, Canada, Derrick began his studies in 3D Animation for Broadcast and Design but found his true calling in New York City, where he studied at the New York Film Academy. He soon gravitated towards the camera and focused on cinematography and photography.
Currently based in Hong Kong, Derrick has spent the past few years creating video and film content across various mediums, including advertising, corporate projects, hospitality, entertainment, documentaries, short films, and feature films. While cinematography remains his primary focus, Derrick also offers post-production services, drawing on his extensive editing experience.
As a fervent enthusiast of film and pop culture, Derrick infuses his work with insights and inspirations from both Eastern and Western influences.
